Tours and Workshops

Visit Types

The RD Milns Antiquities Museum's education programs are aimed at secondary school students. All of our program options are aligned with the Australian Curriculum: History for Year 7 and Queensland Senior Ancient History Syllabus.

A visit to the Antiquities Museum can be 1 to 4 hours (depending on group size and availability).  You can choose from a range of thematic tours and hands-on workshops, each 1 hour in length, in order to customise your experience.

We also offer an Ancient Egypt Experience program aimed at students from Year 7-10. This is a set program of four 1-hour sessions and is designed to immerse your students in the ancient world.

Virtual Education Programs

All of our tours and workshops, with the exception of The Mummification Process and Building the Pyramids workshops, can be included in a virtual program.

General Interest Groups and Other

Please note that while our education programs are aimed at secondary school age students, they can be modified to suit other age groups.  We suggest that groups discuss these options with Museum staff prior to booking.

Groups wishing to take a self-guided tour should still complete our Group Visit Booking Form or contact the Museum Office to schedule their visit.
