Join us after dark for an evening of ancient board games, pizza, and drinks (non-alcoholic) to celebrate the start of Semester 2.

Attendees will be able to participate in a range of ancient board games. Two-player games will include Merelles (ancient Nine-Man’s-Morris) and Senet (pictured - an Egyptian game from the Bronze Age), while Museum staff will also facilitate multi-player games including Tali (knucklebones) and Iactus (dice). Prizes are on offer for both winners and participants, so all attendees are encouraged to test their skills.

Ancient Games Night is a free social event and is presented in partnership with the UQ Classics and Ancient History and Archaeology student society and is supported by a grant from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Student Futures team.
