Ongoing Exhibition
In 2015, the Museum acquired a rare and significant Roman medical collection, including a medicine-box decorated with the figure of Asclepius and a full set of Roman medical instruments including probes, scalpels, forceps, and a rare bone-lever.
The acquisition of this world-class medical collection was made possible through a generous donation in memory of Dr Owen Powell OAM and the Museum was pleased to present the collection for permanent display in 2016.
