Donations and bequests of both artefacts and funds are key ways in which the public can support the activities of the RD Milns Antiquities Museum. The Antiquities Museum no longer acquires artefacts by purchase from the antiquities market, in recognition of the significant issues with the trade in antiquities. Donations of funds to support the purchase of antiquities are also no longer accepted, but we are happy to discuss other avenues to support the Museum’s mission with potential donors.

Please contact Alex Tuite, Senior Manager, Advancement, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, to discuss your donation or for more information on how you can support the Museum.

Object Loans and Donations

The Antiquities Museum accepts donations of artefacts with well-documented histories on a limited basis. Artefacts without documented histories will not be accepted, nor will artefacts purchased recently for the purpose of donating to the Museum.

Please contact the Museum if you have an artefact you are interested in donating.
